The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has officially commenced its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise for qualified Nigerians seeking full-time employment in the Federal Civil Service.
Applications are invited across three cadres — Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Assistant — providing opportunities for Veterinary Doctors, Law graduates, Bachelor’s degree holders, OND/NCE holders, and SSCE holders.
This recruitment offers a structured career path within Nigeria’s agricultural quarantine and biosecurity system.
Shortlisted applicants will participate in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) scheduled to commence from 15th August 2026.

Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector of Quarantine (IQ I – IQ II) – CONRAISS 06 (General Duty)

Eligibility Requirements
Superintendent Cadre
Chief Superintendent of Quarantine (CSO)
- Minimum of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from a recognised institution.
- NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
Deputy Superintendent of Quarantine (DSO)
- Minimum of an LL.B or a relevant Master’s degree from a recognised institution.
- NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
Assistant Superintendent of Quarantine I (ASO I)
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.
- NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Inspectorate Cadre
- Minimum of OND or NCE from a recognised institution.
Assistant Cadre
- Minimum of SSCE, NECO, or GCE O’Level with at least five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
General Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian by birth.
- Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Be medically fit and present a certificate of fitness from a government hospital.
- Successfully pass a drug screening test.
- Be of good character with no criminal record or cult affiliation.
- Be free from financial embarrassment.
- Possess basic computer literacy.
- Meet the minimum height requirement:
- 1.65 metres for males.
- 1.55 metres for females.
- Male applicants must have a minimum chest measurement of 0.87 metres.
- Applicants with serious physical or medical conditions are not eligible.
- Due to the physical nature of the recruitment exercise, pregnant women are advised not to apply.
