Applications are now open for the 2026 Erasmus Mundus PlantHealth Scholarship for the 2026–2028 academic cycle.
This fully funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree is a unique international program designed and offered by five leading European universities to train future experts in plant health and crop protection.
Funded by the European Union, the Erasmus Mundus PlantHealth program is recognized as a European Master of Excellence and is open to students from all countries worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Erasmus Mundus PlantHealth Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, Biology, Plant Science, or a closely related field.
(Final-year undergraduate students may also apply.) - Meet the English language proficiency requirements as specified by the Erasmus program.
- Submit two reference letters from academic or professional referees.
- Demonstrate strong motivation and interest in plant health, sustainable agriculture, and food systems.

Program Structure
The Erasmus Mundus PlantHealth Master’s program runs for two academic years (M1 & M2) and offers an integrated, multidisciplinary learning experience.
First Year (M1):
Students begin their studies either at the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) or the University of Padova (Italy).
All courses are taught entirely in English.
Second Year (M2):
Students choose a specialization area and must study in a different country from their first-year institution.
The second-year courses can take place in Spain, Germany, France, or Italy.
Master’s Thesis:
The final semester is dedicated to an independent research thesis, which can be carried out anywhere in the world under joint supervision.
