The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has launched a major Human Capital Development (HCD) initiative — the Oil & Gas Field Readiness Training Program — designed to train over 10,000 young Nigerians in high-demand oil and gas skills.
This large-scale training effort comes as Nigeria witnesses a surge in Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) and new projects in the oil and gas sector.
The goal is to equip young graduates and technicians with the technical, digital, and operational expertise needed to thrive in top career paths within the energy industry.
About the NCDMB
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is a federal agency committed to promoting indigenous participation and capacity development in the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
In line with President Bola Tinubu’s directives to expand opportunities in the sector, the NCDMB has launched the Oil & Gas Field Readiness Training Program to equip young Nigerians with specialized, high-demand technical skills.
About the Program
In a bold move to strengthen local participation in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has launched the Oil & Gas Field Readiness Training Program — a large-scale Human Capital Development (HCD) initiative aimed at training over 10,000 young Nigerians in high-demand technical skills critical to the oil and gas sector.
The program comes at a time when new multi-billion-dollar projects and Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) are being approved in Nigeria’s oil industry.
Its goal is simple: to prepare and equip the next generation of Nigerians with practical, industry-ready skills that make them competitive and job-ready for the wave of new projects being launched by both international and indigenous oil companies.
