Fully Funded 2026 Nankai University Undergraduate Scholarships in China
Nankai University invites international students to apply for its 2026 Undergraduate Scholarship Program, offering world-class education through an innovative “1+3” academic pathway.
Under this structure, students complete a one-year foundation program at the School of International Education, followed by three years of specialized study in their chosen major.
Upon fulfilling all graduation requirements, successful candidates will receive a bachelor’s degree and graduation certificate.
Note: Students in Chinese-taught programs must achieve at least HSK Level 6 (minimum score of 180) before graduation.
About the Nankai University Fully Funded Undergraduate Scholarship 2026
As one of China’s most prestigious institutions, Nankai University offers comprehensive financial support to outstanding international students through various scholarship programs funded by the University and the Government of China.
With 41 undergraduate programs taught in Chinese (4 years for most majors and 5 years for medical programs), the university employs a dual-preference admission system, allowing applicants to choose two programs in order of priority.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens in good health, aged 18 or older (born before September 1, 2007).
- Hold a senior high school diploma with strong academic performance.
- Demonstrate Chinese language proficiency, with a minimum HSK Level 4 score of 180.
- Meet the requirements of Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of China.

- Valid Passport Information Page (must remain valid beyond Sept. 1, 2026)
- Applicants residing in mainland China must also upload a valid visa or residence permit.
- Highest Academic Qualification (notarized copy)
- Non-Chinese/English documents must be accompanied by notarized translations.
- Students expecting to graduate must provide an official graduation letter and later submit the diploma.
- Official High School Transcripts (with notarized translation if not in Chinese or English)
- Personal Statement in Chinese or English
- HSK Level 4 Certificate (minimum score of 180)
- One Recommendation Letter in Chinese or English
- Supporting Documents (optional): awards, publications, specialty certificates, or other university admission offers.
- Physical Examination Form for Foreigners
- Must be completed after November 2024; only forms meeting testing requirements will be accepted.
- Proof of Financial Capability

Application Procedure
- Create an account and complete the online application form.
- Upload all required documents and pay the application fee (400 RMB) through the Nankai International Students Application System.
- Application Window: October 20, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
- Evaluation: Applications will be reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
- Integrative Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for assessments in March–May 2026. Details will be communicated via email and the online system.
- The top 20% of candidates from each assessment round will be recommended for the Chinese Government Scholarship or awarded the “Study-at-NKU” President Scholarship.
- Final admission decisions will be based on academic records, language proficiency, supporting documents, and assessment performance.
- Successful applicants can check admission results online, with admission notices issued starting June 2026.
