GRADUATE ASSISTANT (CONUASS 1)

• First degree from the University of Abuja or any recognized institution with at least Second Class Upper Division.

ASSISTANT LECTURER (CONUASS 2)

• Master’s degree (LLB/BL, LLB/LM, or related fields).
• Minimum Second Class Upper Division in first degree.

LECTURER II (CONUASS 3)

• PhD or equivalent qualification recognized by the University.
• Minimum Second Class Upper Division in previous degrees.
• Professional certifications (MBBS/DVM/BEng, etc.) as applicable.
• Registration with appropriate regulatory councils (COREN, MDCN, etc.).

LECTURER I (CONUASS 4)

• PhD with a minimum of 6 publications.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Must have previously held the position of Lecturer II.

SENIOR LECTURER (CONUASS 5)

• PhD with at least 9 publications.
• Minimum 3 years of university teaching experience.
• Google Scholar h-index of at least 1.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (CONUASS 6)

• PhD with a minimum of 12 publications.
• At least 6 years teaching experience.
• Google Scholar h-index of at least 2.

PROFESSOR (CONUASS 7)

• PhD with a minimum of 15 publications.
• Minimum 9 years teaching experience.
• Google Scholar h-index of at least 3.

General Notes for Academic Positions

• First degree must be at least Second Class Upper Division.
• Appointment is subject to external assessment of publications.
• Candidates without a PhD cannot be appointed directly to Associate Professor or Professor.

• Minimum of 4 years cognate experience.

ACCOUNTANT II (CONTISS 7)

• BSc in Accounting (minimum Second Class Lower).

LEGAL OFFICER (CONTISS 8)

• LLB with minimum Second Class Lower Division.
• Must have been called to the Nigerian Bar.

PROGRAM/SYSTEM ANALYST (CONTISS 7)

• BSc (minimum Second Class Lower) or HND (Lower Credit) in Computer Science or related fields.

NETWORK ENGINEER II (CONTISS 8)

• BSc or HND (Lower Credit) in Computer/Electronics Engineering.
• Professional registration required.

NURSING OFFICER II (CONTISS 7)

• RN, RM + valid license.

CIVIL ENGINEER II (CONTISS 8)

• BSc/B.Eng in Civil Engineering.
• COREN registration is an advantage.
• NYSC completion required.

• BSc in Architecture (minimum Second Class Lower).
