Apply Now: Youth4Local Government Accountability Workshop (LGAP Project)

TurnUp Jigawa invites young leaders to a 3-day intensive workshop under the Local Government Accountability and Performance (LGAP) Project, designed to equip participants with practical skills in governance monitoring, budget tracking, advocacy, transparency, and civic engagement across all 27 LGAs of Jigawa State.

This workshop will train and empower 54 outstanding youth leaders – two from each Local Government Area – to serve as champions of accountability within their communities.

Program Highlights

  • Budget Tracking & Monitoring: Learn how to effectively track local government spending and assess performance.
  • Policy Advocacy: Acquire practical skills to promote transparency, strengthen accountability mechanisms, and combat corruption in your community.
  • Civic Engagement: Gain skills to organize town hall meetings and bridge the gap between citizens and local government officials.
  • Network Building: Become part of a state-wide network of “Youth Accountability Trackers.”

  • Passionate youth leaders residing in Jigawa State
  • Age: 18 to 35 years
