Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree programme, or be a recent graduate, from a recognised institution listed in the IAU/UNESCO database
- Specialise in a field relevant to FAO’s mandate and areas of work
- Be a national of an FAO Member Nation
- Be aged between 21 and 30 years
- Have a working knowledge of at least one FAO language: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish
(Knowledge of a second FAO language is an advantage) - Language proficiency must be supported by certificates from UN-accredited providers or FAO official examinations (LPE, ILE, or LRT)
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a multicultural and international environment, with strong communication skills
- Not have immediate family members (parents or siblings) employed by FAO under any contractual arrangement
- Possess the appropriate residence or immigration status in the proposed duty station prior to the start of the internship

Internship Benefits
- USD 700 monthly stipend for interns not sponsored by universities or other institutions
- Medical coverage throughout the internship period
- Hands-on professional training and exposure to FAO’s global operations
All selected interns will receive the stipend for the entire duration of the internship.
