The She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship aims to provide personal laptops to young women who are passionate about building careers in tech and IT but lack access to the necessary tools.
This initiative envisions an Africa where women are equally represented across all technology career paths. Beyond providing laptops, the program promotes technical growth, networking, mentorship, and increased visibility for women at all career levels in tech.

Scholarship Details
She Code Africa is a thriving community focused on celebrating and technically empowering young girls and women in technology across Africa.
The community has grown to over 10,000 members, with active presence in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Uganda, South Africa, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Liberia, and more.
Through the Laptop Scholarship Program, She Code Africa believes every girl deserves the opportunity to succeed. The initiative is committed to ensuring equal access to technology and reducing the barriers that limit women from achieving their tech dreams.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the 2026 She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship Program, applicants must:
- Be a female applicant
- Follow She Code Africa on at least one social media platform (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, or LinkedIn)
- Not own a working laptop
- Have already started their journey in technology
- Be available to receive the laptop in person in FCT Abuja, Enugu State, Osun State, or Bayelsa State
- Be a registered member of the She Code Africa community (membership can be obtained via their official website)
Benefits
Selected beneficiaries will receive:
- A personal laptop to support learning and project development
- Access to She Code Africa Academy programs and mentorship opportunities
- Career support toward full-time employment, entrepreneurship, or professional certifications
