Applications are now open for the Feeding the Next Billion Food Innovation Fellowship 2026, a transformative 5-day residential program designed to empower young Nigerian innovators in food value addition.
Organized by Farm Central Intelligence (FarmCI) and supported by UNESCO and Nestlé’s “Because You Matter” Program, with technical expertise from Soilless Farm Lab, this fellowship tackles both food waste and youth unemployment in Nigeria.
What You’ll Gain
Participants will receive hands-on training in transforming raw agricultural produce—like vegetables, spices, and peppers—into market-ready, high-value products. The program equips fellows with practical skills in:
- Processing & preservation
- Packaging & branding
- Basic business management
- Sustainable practices to reduce post-harvest losses
Beyond technical skills, the fellowship encourages an entrepreneurial mindset, preparing a new generation of food innovators to create local employment and strengthen resilient food systems.
