Seplat Energy, in partnership with Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, is pleased to invite applications for the 2026 Teachers’ Empowerment Programme (STEP).

The NNPC/Seplat Teachers Empowerment Programme is designed to equip educators with digital literacy skills, leadership development, mentorship, and technology-enabled instructional tools that help improve teaching methods and enhance student learning outcomes.

The Seplat Teachers Empowerment Programme (STEP) is an annual joint initiative organized by NNPC Exploration & Production Limited (NEPL) and Seplat Energy.

The program focuses on strengthening teachers’ capacity by providing them with:

  • Critical thinking competencies
  • Leadership development skills
  • Technology-enabled teaching tools

These resources are designed to enhance classroom engagement and improve learning outcomes for students.

To further promote innovation in education, the program also introduces the STEAM education model in selected secondary schools across Delta and Edo States.

This model integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to encourage creativity, problem-solving, and holistic learning.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the NNPC/Seplat Teachers Empowerment Programme 2026, applicants must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen
  • Be a secondary school teacher in Edo or Delta State

Note: Teachers and Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) who have graduated from previous editions of the program are not eligible to apply.
