The Federal Government has officially opened Batch B recruitment for the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP), a massive empowerment initiative designed to transform the future of Nigerian youths.
With a bold target of empowering up to 20 million young Nigerians, the programme offers startup grants of up to ₦500,000, alongside training, mentorship, and business support.
What is YEIDEP?
The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) is a flagship initiative powered by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development.
It is part of the Federal Government’s broader strategy to tackle youth unemployment by promoting entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and economic inclusion.
Rather than waiting for jobs, YEIDEP is focused on helping young people create jobs, build businesses, and generate sustainable income.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen
- Be aged between 18 and 50 years
- Have a valid NIN and BVN
- Have a business idea or existing business
- Be willing to participate in training and mentorship programmes

- Open a YEIDEP bank account
- This automatically registers you as a verified participant
Residents of Kano State are required to register through the state YEIDEP committee.
