African Liberty Writing Fellowship 2026 for Emerging African Writers
Applications are now open for the African Liberty Writing Fellowship 2026, a 12-month program aimed at identifying, training, and amplifying emerging African writers who are passionate about promoting freedom, individual rights, and limited government.
Successful applicants will first undergo a mandatory 5-week online training, after which top-performing participants will be selected to join the fellowship as African Liberty Writing Fellows.
The training will run from 25 May 2026 to 22 June 2026, while the full fellowship will commence on 13 July 2026 and conclude on 13 July 2027.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in or have graduated from an African institution of higher learning, or be an African studying outside the continent
- Be fully available to participate throughout the program
