What’s the Goal?

The IEA programme seeks to identify, promote, and scale homegrown education innovations that are solving real challenges in teaching, learning, and skills development across the continent.

What Kind of Innovations Are They Looking For?

The African Union is on the lookout for original, context-relevant, and impactful innovations. You’re eligible if:

You’re leading a legally registered organization within an AU Member State
Your innovation is already operational and producing verifiable results
The solution addresses key challenges in education or skills development using a distinct approach suited to the African context
You’re not acting as an intermediary, but are directly involved in the design and implementation of the innovation

What You’ll Need to Apply

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents in English or French:

Challenge Statement – A short description (100 words max) of the problem your innovation addresses
Innovation Description – How it works, your approach, and the revenue model (max 500 words)
Performance Report – Outcomes and key metrics achieved so far (max 500 words)
Proof of Registration – Business or organizational license/registration documents
