Applications are officially open for the 2025 edition of Diageo’s Learning for Life (L4L) Programme – a transformative initiative designed to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive in the hospitality industry.
Learning for Life (L4L) is Diageo’s flagship business and hospitality skills programme aimed at empowering individuals who may have faced barriers to education and employment.
Through world-class training and mentorship, the programme opens doors to career opportunities in one of the fastest-growing industries globally.
By working in partnership with local educational institutions, government agencies, and training organisations, the programme fosters personal growth, community development, and strengthens the hospitality sector as a whole.
Programme Highlights – 2025 Edition (Nigeria)
This year, 250 participants will be selected to undergo intensive training in industry-standard hospitality and life skills, including:
- Hospitality Business Essentials
- Communication & Teamwork
- Career Readiness
- Bar Skills & Service Excellence
- Confidence and Assertiveness
- Budgeting & Financial Literacy
- Dealing with Sexual Harassment
- Gender & Disability Inclusiveness
- Sustainability Practices
- And more…
After completing the training, participants will be placed on internships with top hospitality businesses in Lagos.
Outstanding interns may also secure direct employment opportunities with partner organizations.

Eligibility Criteria
- Youths between 18 – 27 years old
- Must be living in Lagos State or able to reside in Lagos for the programme duration
- Interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry
- Women and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply

- Application Closes: 10th September, 2025
- Training (Hybrid: Online & Physical): 15th – 19th September, 2025
- Internship Placement: September – December 2025
