The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dikko Umar Radda, has officially announced a large-scale recruitment exercise to fill 2,158 vacant teaching positions across public schools in the state.
This initiative reflects the government’s strong commitment to improving the quality of education and addressing critical staffing shortages in both primary and secondary schools.
Out of the total vacancies, 1,500 positions are allocated to primary schools, while 658 positions are designated for secondary schools.
This recruitment drive forms part of broader efforts to enhance learning outcomes, reduce the teacher-to-student ratio, and strengthen the overall teaching and learning environment across all levels of education in the state.

To ensure a smooth and transparent process, the government has set up a dedicated committee to oversee the recruitment exercise. The application portal is now open to qualified indigenes of Katsina State who meet the required criteria. Applicants will be considered based on subject areas where there are existing needs.
During the application process, candidates will be able to select their preferred Local Government Area (LGA), school, and subject(s) before submitting their application.
