Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 2026 Laurentian University Scholarships, applicants must meet the following requirements:
For Undergraduate Applicants
- Must meet country-specific admission requirements, including faculty and language requirements.
- Nigerian applicants must have verifiable WASSCE results with grades of C4 or higher. (English language test exemption applies.)
- Students with a prior degree are not eligible for the International Academic Excellence Scholarships.
To renew the scholarship, recipients must:
- Be enrolled full-time (minimum 30 credits per academic year, with at least 24 credits in Fall/Winter term).
- Maintain a minimum average of 80% (GPA = 7.5).
For Graduate Applicants
- Must possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree for admission into postgraduate studies.
- Some programs may require applicants to secure a graduate supervisor before applying.
- Must be registered as full-time students.
- Master’s students are eligible for 2 years of funding, while Ph.D. students may receive up to 4 years.
- A minimum B+ average (75%) is required to qualify for new Master’s scholarships.
- Eligible students will receive an email invitation to complete their scholarship application.

Undergraduate Scholarships
- Up to $60,000 in total funding, renewable at $15,000 per year based on academic performance.

Graduate Scholarships
- Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs) are available to qualified full-time students (Domestic and International).
- Awards are structured as both employment and fellowship opportunities, allowing students to gain valuable academic and teaching experience.
