The AWF–Wall Leadership & Management Fellowship brings together young African professionals from the private sector, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), the public sector, and community-based organisations who are passionate about project implementation and driving impact in the environmental and conservation space.

The Fellowship is designed to equip participants with transformational leadership and management skills, empowering them to lead high-impact initiatives and deliver sustainable solutions for Africa’s environmental challenges.

Requirements

The Fellowship seeks practitioners (including employed professionals, founders, and volunteers) working in or contributing to the conservation sector.

Eligible areas of practice include, but are not limited to:

  • Communications and media
  • Human resources and administration
  • Finance, accounting, and fundraising
  • Law and policy
  • Community engagement
  • Programme and project management
  • Wildlife and environmental management

Applicants do not need to be conservation scientists, but must demonstrate a clear interest and strong passion for a career in conservation, regardless of professional background.

Additional eligibility criteria:

  • Nationals of any African country currently living and working in Africa
  • Aged 20–35 years
  • Minimum of a diploma in any field
  • Francophone or Lusophone applicants must have basic English speaking and writing skills
  • Only applications submitted in English will be considered
