Following the launch of the FG TVET Initiative Program, the Federal Government has opened a separate application portal for trainers under the scheme.
The FG TVET Initiative Program for Trainers is designed for Skill Training Centres (STCs), Vocational Enterprise Institutions (VEIs), and Mastercraft Persons (MCPs) who will train individuals, promote entrepreneurship, and help reduce youth unemployment across Nigeria.
Selected trainers will receive a monthly stipend of ₦45,000 per student trained and will also be eligible to access government funding and loan opportunities.

About the FG TVET Initiative Program for Trainers
The FG TVET Initiative registration for trainers is anchored by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Education (FME).
The Federal Government, through NBTE, has opened the application portal to register and accredit trainers in line with the nationwide rollout of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Program, aimed at equipping Nigerians with industry-relevant skills.
NBTE is a statutory body of the Federal Ministry of Education responsible for regulating and coordinating Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across Nigeria.
Eligibility Requirements for FG TVET Initiative Program for Trainers
1. Mastercraft Persons (MCPs)
Applicants must have:
- CAC Registration or National Identification Number (NIN)
- Adoption of NSQ-based curricula
- At least one qualified and experienced senior artisan or craftsperson per programme
- Essential physical facilities, including workshops and restrooms
- Proven training experience, including past programmes, training levels, and certifications awarded
2. Vocational Enterprise Institutions (VEIs)
Applicants must provide:
- Proof of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
- Adoption of NSQ-based curricula
- A minimum of one qualified instructor per trade (Instructor–Student ratio of 1:40)
- At least one Quality Assurance Assessor (QAA) per trade and one certified Internal Quality Assurance Manager (IQAM)
- Adequate physical infrastructure, including workshops/studios, offices, classrooms, and restrooms
- Documented training experience and certifications awarded
3. Skill Training Centres (STCs)
Applicants must meet the following:
- Proof of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
- Adoption of NSQ-based curricula
- At least one qualified instructor or senior artisan per programme with a minimum of NSQ Level 3 certification
- One Quality Assurance Assessor (QAA) per trade and one certified Internal Quality Assurance Manager (IQAM)
- Adequate technical and support staff for workshops
- Essential facilities including workshops, training areas, offices, and restrooms
- Evidence of prior training experience and certifications awarded
