YIPF empowers young people to take ownership of democratic processes and to drive change within their communities.
About the Take Action Campaign
The Take Action Campaign is a nationwide grassroots mobilization initiative designed to inspire active citizenship, foster accountability, and strengthen democratic governance from the bottom up.
Through a structured network of National, State, LGA, and Ward Coordinators, the campaign ensures that citizens’ voices influence policies and decisions that affect their lives — creating a bridge between the people and their government.

Position: Ward Coordinator
YIPF is recruiting one (1) Ward Coordinator per political ward across Nigeria to serve as the campaign’s local representative and community mobilizer.
Key Responsibilities
As a Ward Coordinator, you will:
- Mobilize citizens at the ward level for Take Action Campaign activities.
- Lead grassroots outreach, civic education, and advocacy initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between YIPF and local community members.
- Collect feedback on community challenges and communicate with the LGA Coordinator for effective reporting and action.
- Promote the campaign’s core values of integrity, accountability, participation, and inclusiveness.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be resident within the ward they are applying for.
- Have a strong reputation for honesty, good conduct, and community leadership.
- Be recognized as an active grassroots mobilizer with influence among youth, women, and community groups.
- Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to democratic values, civic engagement, and good governance.
