Job Title: Farm Manager

About the Role
Esty Agro is looking for a passionate, experienced, and results-oriented Farm Manager to lead operations on our commercial rice farms in Lafia, Nasarawa.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on agronomic expertise, leadership experience, and a drive to achieve high productivity through sustainable agricultural practices.
You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end farming process—from land preparation to harvest—ensuring optimum yields and efficient resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily farm operations across multiple rice farm sites.
- Develop and execute seasonal cropping calendars and planting schedules.
- Monitor crop performance, soil health, and irrigation cycles.
- Supervise farm workers and casual laborers to maintain high productivity, safety, and discipline.
- Collaborate with the procurement and operations team to manage inputs, machinery, and logistics.
- Apply best practices in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and crop protection.
- Ensure timely execution of planting, fertilizer application, and harvesting activities.
- Maintain comprehensive records on crop yield, input usage, labor, and operational costs.
- Coordinate with agronomists, technical consultants, and local stakeholders.
- Uphold safety regulations, sustainability practices, and environmental compliance.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience managing a commercial farm (rice, maize, soybean, etc.).
- Proven leadership and staff supervision skills.
- Practical knowledge of crop lifecycle management and mechanized farming.
- Proficiency in using farm planning tools, spreadsheets, and digital farm management platforms.
- Willingness to work and reside in or near Lafia, Nasarawa State.
