About the Traineeship
This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to work with the EU Delegation to the African Union, gaining hands-on experience in diplomacy, communication, and policy development.
You will be placed in the Political, Press & Information (PPI) Section, contributing to projects and initiatives that shape EU–Africa relations.
The program also provides exposure to sectors such as:
- Climate & renewable energy
- Agriculture & circular economy
- Digital innovation & youth employment
- Investment and MSMEs development
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, you must:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Law, or related fields
- Have less than one year of professional experience after graduation
- Be fluent in English
- Currently reside in Ethiopia (important requirement)
- Possess strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Have knowledge of media tools (e.g., Canva, content creation, audiovisual editing)
- Show interest in African Union politics, governance, and economics
