The Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa State, has officially announced a massive recruitment exercise and is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for academic and non-academic staff positions across its various faculties and departments.

Available Academic Staff Positions
FUD is recruiting into different academic ranks. Below are the positions and requirements:
1. Graduate Assistant
- Minimum of a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline.
2. Assistant Lecturer
- A Master’s Degree, or
- LLB/BL, allied medical degrees (MBBS, BDS, etc.) with internship completion and recognized professional certification.
3. Lecturer II
- A Ph.D. or
- A Master’s Degree with relevant teaching/research experience and professional certifications.
- MBBS or BDS holders with full registration.
4. Lecturer I
- A Ph.D. with at least 5 publications and 3 years post-qualification experience, or
- A Master’s Degree with at least 7 publications and 5 years cognate experience.
- MBBS/BDS holders must possess a postgraduate fellowship.
5. Senior Lecturer
- A Ph.D. or equivalent (medical postgraduate fellowship such as FWCP, FMCP, etc.)
- At least 10 publications and 6 years relevant experience.
6. Associate Professor
- A Ph.D. or equivalent
- At least 15 publications, with 9 years cognate experience.
- Must be lead author in at least 5 publications.
7. Professor
- A Ph.D. or equivalent
- At least 20 publications, with 12 years cognate experience.
- Must be lead author in at least 10 publications.
Note: For all positions (except Graduate Assistant), candidates must possess a minimum of Second-Class Lower (2:2) in their first degree, in addition to the relevant postgraduate qualifications.
