Volunteer Opportunity: Cybersecurity Researchers (Remote)
We are currently seeking passionate and self-driven volunteer Cybersecurity Researchers to join our growing team at ICDFA.
This full-time remote volunteer role is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cybersecurity projects and make a tangible impact in strengthening digital security across Africa and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct original research in cybersecurity and digital forensics
- Analyze malware samples and perform reverse engineering
- Assess the security of web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with instructors to develop training content and tools
- Contribute to the development of innovative cybersecurity solutions
- Publish technical blogs or research papers under ICDFA
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of application security and malware analysis
- Proficiency in reverse engineering tools and methodologies
- Demonstrated experience or keen interest in security research
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines remotely
- Prior experience in cybersecurity or related fields is a strong advantage
