The Katsina State Government, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for recruitment into various Primary Health Care (PHC) cadres across the State.
This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthen healthcare delivery and ensure equitable access to quality health services in all 34 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Katsina State.

- Midwives
- Community Midwives
- Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs)
- Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEWs) / Community-Based Health Care Workers

General Requirements
All interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
- State of Origin:
Applicants must be indigenes of Katsina State and provide a valid proof of origin. - Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must possess relevant qualifications from recognized institutions as stated below:- Certificate in Basic Midwifery
- Certificate in Community Midwifery
- Diploma in Community Health Extension Work (CHEW)
- Certificate in Junior Community Health Extension Work (JCHEW)
- Professional Registration:
Applicants must be duly registered with the appropriate professional regulatory body such as:- Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
- Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN)
- Residency and Deployment:
- Must be residing in or willing to work within the Local Government Area applied for.
- Must be prepared to serve in rural and underserved communities across the state.
- Personal Attributes:
Candidates should possess good communication skills, professional integrity, and a strong passion for community service and healthcare delivery.

Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for screening, written examination, and interviews at designated centers (details to be communicated in due course).
- Successful applicants will be deployed to Primary Health Care facilities and communities across the 34 LGAs in Katsina State.
