The African Union (AU) Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for qualified individuals from diverse academic backgrounds to gain professional exposure and hands-on experience within one of Africa’s leading institutions.
This full-time internship provides young Africans with insights into the AU’s work while fostering intercultural learning and professional growth. The AU strongly values diversity, teamwork, and inclusiveness and encourages all eligible candidates to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the AU Internship Program 2025/26, applicants must:
- Be in at least the final year of a Bachelor’s degree OR hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or postgraduate qualification.
- Be a national of an AU Member State.
- Be 32 years of age or younger at the time of selection.
- Be fluent in at least one AU working language: Arabic, English, French, or Portuguese.
- Demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity, and good conduct.
- Have no record of serious criminal offences (minor traffic offences excluded).

Please note: The AU does not cover costs related to travel, visas, accommodation, or living expenses.
