Call for Applications: National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) Youth Climate Negotiators Programme 2026
The National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) is inviting applications from eligible young professionals aged 18–35 years who are currently working in climate-related Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to apply for the Climate Youth Negotiators Programme (CYNP) – 2026 Cohort.
This programme aims to build the capacity of young government professionals and strengthen Nigeria’s participation in global climate negotiations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Programme Benefits
Participants will receive:
- Mentorship and structured capacity-building sessions
- Six months of intensive training on negotiation skills and UNFCCC processes
- Support for youth participation at the COP31
- A strong focus on African and developing-country perspectives in global climate discussions

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens
- Be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of application
- Be a government employee working in a climate-change-related Ministry, Department, or Agency (MDA)
