Step-by-Step Application Guidelines
Online Registration:
Interested and qualified applicants should apply free of charge via the official portal. Ensure you carefully read all requirements and guidelines before completing the online form.
Print Required Documents:
After completing the online application, applicants must print out the following documents:
a. Acknowledgment Form
b. Parent/Guardian Consent Form
c. Local Government Area (LGA) Attestation Form – This form must be signed by only one of the following officials:
A Military Officer from the applicant’s state of origin, not below the rank of Wing Commander (or equivalent in the Army or Navy).
- A Police Officer not below the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
- A Substantive Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
- A Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.
- The LGA Attestation Form must be accompanied by the signee’s passport photograph and a photocopy of their Driver’s Licence, National ID Card, or International Passport.

Eligibility Criteria
- General Requirements
- Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Male applicants must be at least 1.66 meters tall, while females must be at least 1.63 meters tall.
- Candidates must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, meeting NAF’s recruitment standards.
- Applicants must have no previous criminal convictions by any court of law.
For Non-Tradesmen/Women
- Age: 18–22 years at the time of application.
- Education: Minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
- Additional Requirement: Must possess a secondary school testimonial.
For Tradesmen/Women
- Age: 18–27 years at the time of application.
- Education: Applicants with ND/NCE must have at least a Lower Credit from accredited institutions and five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Drivers and Technical Trades: Must have a valid Trade Test Certificate and a Driver’s Licence (for drivers).
- Sportsmen/Women: Must provide proof of professional experience, such as certificates, medals, or awards, in addition to the educational requirements.
