Nigerian Air Force Recruitment 2026 is Open for BMTC 47/2026 Applications

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced its 2026 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 47/2026) recruitment exercise for suitably qualified Nigerians seeking enlistment as Airmen and Airwomen under the Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women categories.

Application Period:

• Opens: 3 September 2026
• Closes: 14 October 2026

Available Categories

1. Tradesmen/Women

• For applicants with ND/NCE qualifications, relevant Trade Test Certificates, professional sporting credentials, or valid driving licences.
• Age: 18–25 years by 1 March 2027.
• Minimum ND/NCE with at least Lower Credit from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.

2. Non-Tradesmen/Women

• For applicants with SSCE/O’Level qualifications.
• Age: 18–22 years by 1 March 2027.
• Minimum 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.
• Primary School Certificate and Secondary School Testimonial are also required.

General Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
• Be medically, physically and psychologically fit.
• Meet the Nigerian Air Force medical and employment standards.
• Have no previous criminal conviction.
• Meet the minimum height requirement of 1.66m for males and 1.63m for females.

Required Documents

• Acknowledgement Form generated after successful application.
• Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
• Local Government Area Attestation Form, duly signed by an authorised NAF-specified person with the required identification and passport photograph.
