Program Overview
The Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF) invites eligible organizations to apply for the 2026 Grant focused on Strengthening Institutions, Women’s Voices, Rights, and Ending Violence Against Women and Girls in Nigeria.
This sixth edition builds on NWTF’s ongoing commitment to empowering women-led organizations across all six geopolitical zones. The initiative aims to expand the capacity of local institutions, enhance women’s leadership, and drive impactful interventions that promote gender equality and end gender-based violence.
Through this program, NWTF reinforces its dedication to fostering inclusive development, advancing the rights of women and girls, and supporting sustainable community-driven change.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF) Grant, organizations must:
- Be gender-focused, with most staff and board members being women.
- Be a registered local NGO or CBO operating in Nigeria for at least 2 years.
- Demonstrate functional administrative, financial, and HR systems.
- Have clear organizational structures and capacity for effective project delivery.
- Propose innovative and feasible projects with a clearly defined target audience.

NWTF strongly encourages applications from:
- Women-led organizations
- Organizations led by or serving Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
- Organizations in hard-to-reach or underserved communities
Note: Proposals connected to political parties, campaigns, government agencies, scholarships, profit-driven ventures, or religious conversion will not be considered.
