The Graduate Trainee (Mechanical/Electrical) will be part of a structured training program aimed at developing competent technical professionals to support the company’s production and maintenance operations.
The role involves hands-on participation in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and process optimization within the factory.
The trainee will gain practical experience in both preventive and corrective maintenance, electrical panel operations, safety procedures, and energy management while working under the supervision of senior engineers and technical supervisors.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems in the production line.
- Participate in preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults on machines and production equipment.
- Support engineers in installing and commissioning new equipment and systems.
- Record and report all maintenance activities and performance observations accurately.
- Ensure proper use of tools and adherence to safety regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve efficient production flow.
- Participate in training sessions, technical workshops, and performance evaluations as part of the graduate development program.

Requirements for the Plantation Industries Limited Graduate Trainee Program 2025
- B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience (industrial or internship experience is an advantage).
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation.
- Strong technical aptitude, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
