Position: Data Collector

As primary field-level operatives, Data Collectors will play a vital role in gathering reliable, high-quality data from assigned communities and project locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct systematic data collection using surveys, interviews, and field observations
  • Capture and transmit data in real time using digital tools such as KoboToolbox and ODK
  • Engage professionally and ethically with community members and stakeholders
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of collected data
  • Verify data consistency and quality before submission to the analytical team
  • Support evidence-based planning, monitoring, and reporting activities

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of OND, NCE, HND, or Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred fields include:
    • Social Sciences
    • Statistics
    • Public Health
    • Other related disciplines
  • Prior experience in:
    • Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
    • Data analytics
    • Community-based development programmes
      (especially within the NGO or non-profit sector) is an added advantage

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar digital data-collection platforms
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic analytical tools
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills
  • Ability to work independently across diverse environments
