About the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program (NAM-P)
In collaboration with Heifer Nigeria, the Bank of Agriculture is implementing the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program — a transformative project designed to make modern mechanization tools affordable and accessible to Nigerian farmers.
This program seeks to:
- Boost national agricultural productivity by expanding mechanization coverage.
- Empower women, youth, and mechanization enterprises through inclusive access to financing.
- Facilitate sustainable ownership and operation of tractors and implements under a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) model.
Under this partnership, BOA and Heifer have developed a financing framework to manage 2,000 tractors procured by the Federal Government of Nigeria, ensuring long-term operational efficiency and economic inclusion.
Program Benefits
Participants in the NAM-P initiative will enjoy:
- Preventive maintenance and technical support through nationwide mechanization hubs.
- Digital tracking and management using advanced IoT (Internet of Things) technology.
- Flexible repayment options based on usage and income generation.

Lease Features and Conditions
- Lease Duration: 3–5 years
- Interest Rate: 15% per annum
- Down Payment: 25% of equipment value
Special Terms for Women and Youth
Women and youth applicants will have access to preferential terms and support, including capacity-building programs, business mentorship, and simplified repayment structures designed to ensure long-term success.
