Role Overview: Remote Software Engineering Manager

Cavista is seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Engineering Manager to oversee and lead multiple agile teams of software engineers, product managers, and team leads.

This Software Engineering Manager role requires a strategic thinker who excels at driving technology initiatives, managing complex projects, and delivering high-quality SaaS products that meet and exceed client expectations.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering innovation, guiding technical excellence, and ensuring the seamless delivery of web, mobile, and integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship:
    Lead, mentor, and manage multiple agile teams of engineers, team leads, and product managers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

    Develop initiatives, create timelines, and oversee the evaluation, development, and deployment of web-based services and solutions.

  • Architectural Guidance:

Required Qualifications for Software Engineering Manager

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in Software Engineering Leadership: A minimum of 4+ years of experience in leading and managing software engineering teams, with a focus on architecting and deploying SaaS applications in cloud-based environments.
  • Agile Expertise: Proven experience utilizing agile development and scrum methodologies for a minimum of 4+ years. (Scrum Master certification is a plus but not required.)
  • Technical Background: Solid technical expertise with 1-3 years of experience in building consumer web and mobile software solutions. A strong understanding of next-generation architectures and SaaS technologies.
  • People Management Skills: 2-4 years of experience in people management, with a demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate large, diverse teams.
  • Security Awareness: In-depth knowledge of security challenges facing SaaS platforms and effective strategies for mitigation.
  • Strategic and Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in organizational planning, business judgment, and technical leadership. The ability to align values, mission, and best practices across teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to foster collaboration and alignment among diverse stakeholders.
