Role Overview: Remote Software Engineering Manager
Cavista is seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Engineering Manager to oversee and lead multiple agile teams of software engineers, product managers, and team leads.
This Software Engineering Manager role requires a strategic thinker who excels at driving technology initiatives, managing complex projects, and delivering high-quality SaaS products that meet and exceed client expectations.
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering innovation, guiding technical excellence, and ensuring the seamless delivery of web, mobile, and integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Mentorship:
Lead, mentor, and manage multiple agile teams of engineers, team leads, and product managers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. - Strategic Development:
Develop initiatives, create timelines, and oversee the evaluation, development, and deployment of web-based services and solutions. - Agile Environment Management:
Lead diverse technology projects in an agile scrum environment. Set priorities, manage resources effectively, and ensure seamless delivery of solutions. - Architectural Guidance:
Provide strategic direction on software architecture and design. Lead discussions to tackle challenging architectural problems, ensuring engineering excellence in all solutions. - SaaS Solution Development:
Drive the development of scalable SaaS platforms leveraging cloud technologies. Ensure the delivery of robust, secure, and innovative software products. - Collaboration with Leadership:
Engage with key leaders to align team objectives with company vision. Communicate and translate strategic goals into actionable plans for engineering teams. - Technical Excellence:
Oversee code reviews, engage in design discussions, and resolve challenging bugs to deliver high-quality solutions. Promote a strong engineering culture focused on quality and innovation. - Full Software Development Lifecycle:
Drive the end-to-end software development process, ensuring timely delivery, optimal resource allocation, and maximum ROI. - People Development:
Build, motivate, and inspire high-performing teams. Foster an environment where engineers and data scientists can thrive and deliver exceptional results. - Operational Efficiency:
Prioritize workloads, manage shifting priorities, and advocate for maintaining focus when workload changes are not feasible.

Required Qualifications for Software Engineering Manager
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in Software Engineering Leadership: A minimum of 4+ years of experience in leading and managing software engineering teams, with a focus on architecting and deploying SaaS applications in cloud-based environments.
- Agile Expertise: Proven experience utilizing agile development and scrum methodologies for a minimum of 4+ years. (Scrum Master certification is a plus but not required.)
- Technical Background: Solid technical expertise with 1-3 years of experience in building consumer web and mobile software solutions. A strong understanding of next-generation architectures and SaaS technologies.
- People Management Skills: 2-4 years of experience in people management, with a demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate large, diverse teams.
- Security Awareness: In-depth knowledge of security challenges facing SaaS platforms and effective strategies for mitigation.
- Strategic and Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in organizational planning, business judgment, and technical leadership. The ability to align values, mission, and best practices across teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to foster collaboration and alignment among diverse stakeholders.
