We are looking for a proactive, strategic, and results-oriented Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of our organization’s key development projects.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of project objectives while fostering collaboration across internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders.
This role is critical in driving sustainable impact for smallholder poultry farmers, enhancing productivity, and strengthening value chains in target communities.
The Project Manager will be expected to ensure optimal resource utilization and strict compliance with both internal policies and donor guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with timelines, quality standards, and objectives.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project work plans, timelines, and budgets, including risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments, implementing partners, donors, and stakeholders to align on goals, expectations, and deliverables.
- Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to assess progress, identify challenges, and implement course corrections.
- Produce timely, high-quality reports for internal management and external donors, capturing results, lessons learned, and impact.
- Ensure all project activities comply with organizational standards and funder requirements, including procurement and financial protocols.
- Organize and lead periodic field visits to monitor implementation, provide technical support, and engage with local communities and beneficiaries.
- Promote knowledge sharing, learning, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Project Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is a strong advantage.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects—ideally within the agriculture or poultry/livestock value chains.
- Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded programs (e.g., USAID, IFAD, DFID, or similar).
- Strong skills in budget development, financial oversight, and work plan implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing donor reports and stakeholder presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project is an asset.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites across the country and engage directly with field staff and beneficiaries.
