The Leventis Foundation Nigeria is a charitable organisation committed to empowering youths and farmers through practical training in modern, sustainable agricultural practices and the responsible management of natural resources.
Established in 1987, the Foundation has remained a leading force in agricultural capacity development in Nigeria. It operates six agricultural training schools strategically located across various agro-ecological zones in the country.
These schools are situated in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Osun, Kano, and Gombe States, and are co-funded by the Leventis Foundation in partnership with the respective State Governments.
The Foundation offers a comprehensive one-year residential agricultural training programme designed for young men and women who are passionate about building successful careers in farming and agribusiness.
Trainees receive hands-on, practical instruction across multiple areas of agriculture, agricultural value chains, and farm enterprises.

Eligibility
The programme is open to both male and female applicants who are genuinely interested in pursuing sustainable careers in agriculture and agribusiness.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
a. Be physically fit.
b. Have the ability to read and write in English (minimum of Junior Secondary School certificate may be required).
c. Be between 18 and 40 years of age.
d. Successfully pass both written and oral examinations.
e. Demonstrate a clear and genuine interest in agriculture.
f. Possession of a farming background is an added advantage.

Required Documents for Submission
Applicants are required to present the following documents on the day of the entrance examination:
- A handwritten application/cover letter
- A letter of attestation signed by the Chairman or Secretary of the applicant’s Local Government of Origin or a Justice of the Peace (JP)
- Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs
- Three (3) reference letters
- Photocopies of academic certificates or other relevant supporting documents
Applicants who live close to any of the training schools may also submit their applications physically at the respective school locations.
