Agri SME Enterprise Support Program for Youth- and Women-Led Agribusinesses Across Africa | Link to Apply
Applications are now open for the Agri SME Enterprise Support Program, an initiative designed to support high-potential youth- and women-led agribusinesses across selected African countries.
The programme, supported in collaboration with IACL, aims to help participating businesses strengthen their operations, improve supply chains, expand market access, create jobs, and build more inclusive economic opportunities.
100 enterprises will be selected, with 20 businesses from each participating country.
Eligible countries
- Nigeria
- Ghana
- Kenya
- Rwanda
- Tanzania
Who Can Apply?
Eligible businesses must:
- Be youth-led or women-led
- Operate in one of the five eligible countries
- Be commercially active in the agriculture or agri-food sector
- Demonstrate strong potential for growth and market expansion
- Have potential to create jobs
- Work within agricultural value chains
- Work with farmers, including smallholder producers
- Be willing to participate in diagnostics, coaching, site visits, and business development activities
- Not have previously benefited from YEFFA investment
What Support Will Selected Businesses Receive?
Selected enterprises will undergo an enterprise diagnostic to identify their strengths, challenges, and priority business needs.
Support may include:
- Business and financial management
- Supply-chain strengthening
- Business coaching and technical assistance
- Market positioning and access
- Investor readiness and financial linkages
- Quality, certification, and regulatory support
- Development of practical growth and job-creation plans
- Support with food safety, traceability, and digital systems

Priority Areas
Priority will be given to businesses contributing to the availability, accessibility, or commercial viability of nutritious foods.
Enterprises within the Generation Africa and Value4Her pipelines will also form part of the programme’s primary pipeline.
