Call for Applications: Amnesty International Nigeria Opens Applications for Micro-Influencer Cohort 2026
Amnesty International Nigeria, with support from the German Embassy in Nigeria, is inviting applications for the Micro-Influencer Cohort 2026 under the Strengthening Human Rights Defenders to Protect Civic Space Project.
The initiative is designed for young and passionate digital creators who are committed to using their platforms to promote human rights, civic engagement, and ethical storytelling.
The programme aims to equip micro-influencers with the tools, knowledge, and network needed to drive meaningful social change both online and within their communities. Participants will also gain practical insights into responsible digital advocacy while amplifying important social justice conversations.

What Selected Participants Will Receive

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be between 18–35 years old
- Be based in Lagos, Abuja, or Enugu
- Have between 10,000–25,000 followers on at least one social media platform
- Demonstrate strong passion for responsible digital influence and social impact
Programme Goal
The cohort seeks to strengthen the role of young influencers as digital human rights defenders by equipping them to create impactful content that promotes accountability, inclusion, and civic participation in Nigeria.
