Applications are open for the Aspire Leaders Program 2026 (Cohort 3). The Aspire Leaders Program welcomes limited-income and first-generation university students and recent graduates from around the world to join a free online interactive leadership development journey that is manageable along your other commitments.
Aspire Institute is an independent non-profit organization that facilitates the Aspire Leaders Program. The program, previously called the Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program, was founded at Harvard University in 2017 by Harvard Business School professors.
In 2021, it spun out of Harvard University to become Aspire Institute.

The program involves the following:
Week 1-4: Foundations of Leadership
- Live interactions among a global cohort of peers
- Strengths-based leadership skills assessment
- Identifying and understanding social issues
- Understanding yourself as a leader
- SMART Goals framework
Week 5-9: Digital Transformation, AI, and Community Action
- Digital transformation & Artificial Intelligence
- Solving real-world community challenges
- Taking action in communities around the globe
- Strategies for building trust
- Professional development resources co-created with Harvard Business School, including resume development, interview preparation, cover letter best practices, and guidance for exploring and pursuing your ideal career path
Masterclasses: Immersive Learning
- Synchronous sessions led by world-class educators from universities around the world.
- Live learning and discussions with a global cohort of peers and mentors.

Eligibility
This program is for limited-income or first-generation university students and graduates around the world. All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- 18-29 years old
- Currently enrolled in or graduated from a university program — this can be an undergraduate OR postgraduate program
- Meet at least ONE of the following:
- Come from a limited-income background
- Be first-generation to attend university in their family
