The Enugu State Government, in collaboration with Magic City Labs and Magic Lab Academy, is thrilled to announce the launch of Batch 2 of the Enugu Magic Lab Animation Training (EMAT) Program—an empowering 6-month journey into the world of digital storytelling, illustration, and motion design.
Building on the success of the inaugural cohort, Batch 2 is designed to train over 400 young Nigerians in 2D illustration and 3D motion graphics, providing them with in-demand, high-income digital skills for today’s fast-growing global animation industry.
“Animation is the future, and Enugu is not watching from the sidelines,” said a representative from the Enugu SME Center. “We’ve witnessed incredible growth in our first batch of trainees—raw talent transforming into polished skill—and we’re excited to expand this opportunity to even more young creatives!”

The EMAT program is powered by Magic Lab Academy, a globally respected animation and design institution with over 500 alumni working in world-class studios like Disney, Netflix, and leading African media companies.
