The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the INEC Staff Recruitment 2025.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was established under the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to organize elections into various political offices across the country.
At the state level, EDSIEC is charged with conducting, supervising, and overseeing elections for local government councils in Edo State.

Available Positions
1. Local Government Returning Officers
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
- Location: Edo State
- Openings: 15
Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of a First Degree or HND from a recognized institution in Nigeria or abroad.

2. Ward Returning Officers
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
- Location: Edo State

Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of a First Degree or HND from a recognized institution in Nigeria or abroad.
3. Supervisory Presiding Officers
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
- Location: Edo State

Requirements:
- Must possess at least a First Degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Previous participation in election duties is required.
- Must not be a member of any political party.
- Must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
4. Presiding Officers
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Qualification: OND – BA/BSc/HND
- Location: Edo State

Requirements:
- Must hold a National Diploma (ND), Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), or equivalent qualification.
- Must not belong to any political party.
- Must not have a criminal record.
5. Poll Clerks
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Qualification: OND – BA/BSc/HND
- Location: Edo State

Requirements:
- Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
- Must not be a member of a political party.
- Must not have been convicted of a criminal offence.
