The Augustine Udefa Speaking Scholarship supports outstanding students in African tertiary institutions who demonstrate exceptional public speaking abilities, critical thinking skills, and strong moral character.

Open to students across all fields of study, the scholarship is awarded based on performance in a series of speaking competitions and fulfillment of the program’s ethical standards.

The award provides full tuition support for the duration of the recipient’s academic program, along with a one-time cash prize.

Eligibility Criteria (Augustine Udefa Speaking Scholarship 2026)

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Be enrolled in a public university, polytechnic, monotechnic, or college of education in Africa.
• Be in their first or second year of study.
  • However, students in their third or fourth year may also be considered if they can demonstrate financial hardship.
• Be of good moral conduct.
• Submit all required documents through the official application portal.

Required Documents

Applicants must upload:

• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Admission letter
• An attestation letter from the Head of Department (HOD) on official letterhead, confirming the applicant’s good moral conduct
