Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation Scholarship (WYBF) Details

The Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation Educational Assistance Programme provides annual scholarships to brilliant indigent students pursuing higher education in Nigeria.

Since the inception of the programme in 2008, the foundation has awarded over 500 scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The scholarship is designed for academically outstanding students who are currently attending — or planning to attend — a public tertiary institution in Nigeria. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements before their applications can be considered by the scholarship board of the Wilson & Yinka Badejo Foundation.

Eligibility Requirements for WYBF Scholarship 2026

To qualify for the Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate financial need by providing a short personal statement about their background.
  • Possess strong academic performance and good character that can be verified.
  • Be enrolled in or admitted into an accredited public tertiary institution in Nigeria.
    (Students attending private tertiary institutions are not eligible.)
  • Not have received the foundation’s scholarship award more than twice previously.
  • Note that applicants may apply for both the Legacy and Nurturing Hearts scholarships, but only one award can be received if selected.
