About the Programme

Since its launch in 2021, the WIA Young Leaders Programme has been dedicated to identifying and supporting young African women who are actively contributing to a more dynamic, innovative, and inclusive continent.

As part of the broader push for equal opportunities, the programme equips participants with the tools, exposure, and support needed to unlock their full potential and drive meaningful change.

To date, the programme has built a strong network of accomplished alumnae who are making significant impact across various sectors.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be female, aged 25–40 years
  • Be a citizen of an African country
  • Be professionally active (entrepreneurship, employment, research, or leadership roles)
  • Demonstrate strong leadership potential and commitment to Africa’s development
  • Be multilingual (Francophone, Anglophone, or Lusophone; multiple languages preferred)
