In a circular titled “Re: Status Report of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB)”, the Board has shared new details regarding the upcoming 2025 recruitment exercise for the four paramilitary services under its jurisdiction.

According to the update, the CDCFIB is currently seeking a waiver to reduce the required advertisement period for the recruitment notice in national newspapers—from the statutory six (6) weeks to a shortened duration of three (3) weeks.

The circular references the approval granted by Mr. President for the recruitment of 30,150 personnel across the four services, as well as 209 additional staff for the CDCFIB Secretariat. This approval includes provisions for the recruitment of doctors and nurses for the Nigerian Correctional Service.

1. Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) – 5,150 personnel

5. CDCFIB Secretariat — 209 personnel
