• Locations: Zaria, Kaduna State / Obajana, Kogi State
• Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

The Security Officer will be stationed at the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Station and will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of all personnel, assets, and operations within the facility.

This position demands a proactive individual with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to respond swiftly and effectively in the event of a security concern.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and regulate access to the CNG Station to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Conduct routine patrols of the facility, both interior and exterior, to maintain a secure environment.
• Identify, document, and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or breaches of security protocols.
• Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, observations, and incidents.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of site-specific security policies and emergency procedures.
• Offer safety guidance to staff, contractors, and visitors, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Perform regular inspections of surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment, reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of SSCE, OND, or HND in any relevant discipline.
• Prior experience in a security-related role or similar capacity will be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of security systems, protocols, and emergency response measures.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of staying alert and making sound decisions under pressure.
• Physically fit and able to undertake foot patrols or stand for prolonged periods.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights as required.
