Role Overview: IT Site Operations Manager

The IT Site Operations Manager will oversee and manage the IT services and infrastructure at the Lagos site. This role is critical in ensuring seamless IT operations, high service availability, and efficient problem resolution to support business activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Operations Management (ITOP):

  • Manage daily IT operations, ensuring infrastructure and services are available, reliable, and high-performing.
  • Implement and maintain IT service management best practices, including ITIL frameworks.

2. Service Level Management (SLMO):

  • Monitor and report IT service performance against agreed service levels and metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to ensure service quality meets or exceeds expectations.

3. Incident and Problem Management (USUP, PBMG):

  • Respond swiftly to IT incidents to minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Identify and resolve underlying issues to prevent recurring problems.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
    • A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record in managing IT services and infrastructure.
    • Experience in the FMCG industry is highly desirable.
  • Certifications:
    • ITIL Foundation or higher certification, showcasing expertise in IT operations best practices.
    • Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
    • Technical certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, demonstrating hands-on expertise with relevant technologies.
