N-Power Update: FG Assures Beneficiaries of Payment Amid Ongoing Programme Review
The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, has assured N-Power beneficiaries that all outstanding stipends will be paid, as the programme is currently undergoing a comprehensive review.
This assurance comes just hours ahead of a planned nationwide protest by N-Power beneficiaries scheduled for February 4, 2026.
The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Bernard M. Doro, confirmed that all verified N-Power beneficiaries owed outstanding payments will receive them. He explained that the Ministry is working closely with the National Social Investment Programs Agency (NSIPA) to review the programme and address existing gaps and structural challenges affecting its delivery.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Minister said, “Dear N-Power beneficiaries, I am aware of the concerns surrounding your programme, and I hear all of you.”
He added, “Since assuming office, I have been working with the National Social Investment Programs Agency (NSIPA) to review the programme, address the identified gaps, and fix structural challenges affecting delivery. I assure you that all legitimate concerns are being resolved.”

Dr. Doro further disclosed that he had engaged directly with representatives of the beneficiaries. “I met with your leaders earlier today (Monday, February 2), and we discussed extensively. All beneficiaries with verified issues will be addressed and will receive their payments,” he stated.
Reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to the scheme, the Minister said, “We are committed to reforming the programme to make it more sustainable, with clear exit plans, in line with Mr. President’s vision and the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
N-Power beneficiaries are expected to receive their stipends soon, as final arrangements are currently being concluded to disburse payments to verified and eligible participants.
