Applications are now open for the 2026 International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Graduate Internship Programme, offering an opportunity for qualified graduates to gain practical experience within an international agricultural research-for-development organisation.
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is a non-profit agricultural research-for-development organisation and a member of the CGIAR Consortium.
The internship role involves providing administrative, operational, communication and coordination support to the Director and the leadership team of the Directorate.
Reporting Line
- Report directly to the Director, People and Culture.
- Work closely with other units and team members within the Directorate.
- Support the coordination of activities, meetings, schedules and other administrative functions.

Requirements
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- Proven experience managing executive schedules, meetings, reporting and stakeholder engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple activities, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
