What We’re Looking For

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Enrollment: Be a current sophomore at an accredited four-year U.S. university, graduating in 2027.
• Interest: A strong passion for startups, founding companies, or investing, with a clear vision for using invention and technology to positively impact the world.
• Skills:
  • Analytical abilities to understand and evaluate businesses.
  • Effective communication skills, with emotional intelligence to engage stakeholders.
  • A quantitative or technical background is a bonus.
• Character: Ethical, honest, respectful, and trustworthy, with a commitment to doing what’s right.

The Application Process

Timeline:

• Applications Open: November 18, 2024
• Deadline: January 10, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST
• Interviews Begin: January 27, 2025
• Fellows Selected: Mid to Late February 2025

Required Documents:

• Unofficial Transcript (PDF format).
• Resume or CV (not exceeding one page, PDF format).
• Letter of Recommendation: This can come from a supervisor, professor, colleague, or mentor. The recommender must submit the letter via the provided link, ensuring it’s no longer than one page.

Essays:
Prepare responses to these essay prompts (500 words max each):

1. Share a time when you embodied one of Thrive’s core values to overcome a challenge.
2. Propose a business or product idea to solve a pressing societal or industry issue, explaining your thought process and approach.
3. Describe a time when you used data to solve a problem or make a decision, including how you structured your approach and its impact.

Video Submission:

Create a 90-second video (MP4 format, uploaded to YouTube as an unlisted video) answering the following:

• How have your academic, professional, or personal experiences shaped who you are today?
