About the TotalEnergies OML 58 Scholarship
The TotalEnergies OML 58 Scholarship is designed to support students from host communities in pursuing higher education.
OML 58 comprises five main fields: Erema, Olo, Ubeta, Obagi (the oldest field in the JV and one of the largest in Nigeria), and the Ibewa gas/condensate field.
OML 58 is located onshore in Rivers State, approximately 85 kilometers northwest of Port Harcourt. The ongoing upgrade projects aim to:
- Improve oil recovery
- Boost gas supply for industrial and domestic use
- Increase deliveries to the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG)
- Comply with the Federal Government’s Gas Flare Out Policy
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the TotalEnergies OML 58 Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen
- Be enrolled in a recognized Nigerian public tertiary institution
- Be from one of the OML 58 host communities (Egi, Igburu, Ekeye, Ikwerre)
